A country of huge proportions, historic appeal and vast natural beauty, South Africa promises every visitor a unique holiday with a variety of things to do and see in each of her nine provinces.

South Africa is a paradise for lovers of the outdoors, and most of the country basks in year round sunshine. The impressive array of interesting wildlife, outdoor activities, spectacular scenery and warm, friendly people provide unforgettable and mesmerising experiences for all who choose to visit.

South Africa’s most popular attractions include:

Cape Town - Recently ranked Number 1 in the 2011 TripAdvisor Best Destinations in the World Poll, Cape Town certainly lives up to its esteemed reputation. With its waterfront entertainment, endless beaches and lofty mountains, Cape Town is arguably the world’s most captivating maritime city.

Cape Winelands - A visit to the Cape is never complete without a drive along the historic wine routes of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek.

Garden Route - The Garden Route is the jewel of the Cape Coastline – miles of unforgettable scenery, mountains, dense forests, lakes and rivers. Winding mountain passes lead to Oudtshoorn and the Little Karoo, where visitors marvel at ostriches and the fascinating underground Cango Caves.

Eastern Cape - The cities of East London and Port Elizabeth are two of many popular seaside resorts in the Eastern Cape. The area also boasts excellent malaria-free private game reserves, as well as the Addo Elephant National Park.

Kwazulu Natal - Quiet bays, warm sea water and a tropical climate attract visitors to Durban, the main city and holiday resort renowned for its Golden Mile of coloured lights, paddling pools and beachfront hotels. Just a short distance away are numerous game reserves and the Zulu, Boer and British battlefields known as the Battlefields Route. Beyond are the distant peaks of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, occasionally covered in a layer of winter snow.

North West Province - The Pilanesberg National Park and the world-renowned resorts of Sun City and The Lost City are found here. A number of malaria-free game reserves are also situated within the province.

Mpumalanga and the Kruger National Park - East of Johannesburg you will find the sparkling waterfalls and misty mountains of Mpumalanga. Here the goldrush of the late 19th century has left its mark in quaint mining towns like Pilgrims Rest and Sabie. The sub-tropical Lowveld region is known today as the Kruger National Park, a bushveld sanctuary teeming with wildlife.
