Guests will be collected from their hotels in Gauteng or at Johannesburg International Airport, and will travel via the highveld grasslands to Tremisana Game Lodge in the Kruger National Park. Board an open Landcruiser for a 3 hour Sunset Drive, your first opportunity to experience the fauna and flora of Africa. Watch the magnificent African sunset and after dark spotlight nocturnal animals. Dinner in the Boma will be a traditional South African meal.

At sunrise we drive to the Olifants River for a 4 hour Bush Walk. Your game ranger will show you many secrets of the bush. Adrenalin surges will be acute, even though your ranger is adequately armed. Return to Tremisana for brunch. Later you may sleep in your air-conditioned chalet, swim or read wildlife magazines in our Lapa. Drive to Tshukudu Game Reserve in time for High Tea, after which we enjoy a 4 hour Big Five game drive.

We travel to the Kruger Park where we board our open Game viewer. The absence of windows and elevated vantage position allows for excellent photographic opportunities. You will have an amazing chance not only to view game, but also to listen to and smell the African bush and its denizens. Your experienced ranger will show you many animals and birds that frequent this wildlife paradise. The Orpen-Satara-Nwanedzi regions boast open plains and support large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope that attract numerous predators. In fact, the zones we visit have the highest concentration of lions in Africa!

We visit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre for injured and orphaned animals. You will get close and personal to some of the residents, including lions and leopards. After lunch at the Cheetah Inn, relax around the pool. Drive to Marc’s Camp where we enjoy a 3 hour open vehicle game drive in the Motlala Game Reserve, home to numerous animals including the elusive Black Rhino.

Enjoy another exciting day on the open vehicle watching game in Kruger Park. Your ranger will attempt to show you any animal you have not yet seen.

Enjoy a Sunrise Drive and after a relaxing breakfast, drive via the Panorama Route to see scenic splendours like the Three Rondavels and the Blyde River Canyon. We return to Gauteng in the late afternoon. Airport drop-off by arrangement.

Tremisana Game Lodge

Tremisana is the largest and leading lodge in the Balule section of the Kruger National Park. There are a total of 15 Chalets plus a two-bedroomed Guest House. Every unit has a thatched roof, is air-conditioned, has a tea/coffee station and is en-suite (shower, toilet and basin). Insect proof screens are fitted on all windows.

There is a swimming pool, open air Boma for dinners around a crackling fire, bush bar, and a covered Lapa overlooking a waterhole with a resident Crocodile and Hippopotamus. The lodge has beautiful gardens with palms and cycads, which gives the camp a subtropical feel. Water features add a relaxing effect, and at night subdued lighting along the walkways lends a magical and romantic atmosphere to this lovely camp.

Tremisana is easily accessible all year round, including the rainy season. The presence of lions, elephants and buffalo necessitatates the need for an electric fence around the camp. A troop of Vervet Monkeys have learnt how to avoid being shocked, and have made Tremisana their permanent home. Their antics never fail to amuse and entertain Tremisana's guests!

Marc's Treehouse Lodge

Accommodation at Marc's is secure, comfortable and relaxed. There are 12 Tree Houses: four original units built in the trees with private ablutions on the ground below, and eight en-suite units built on stilts within the tree canopy.

Three Tree Houses overlook an illuminated waterhole, while nine Tree House are nestled in forest along the river. Each Tree House is equipped with beds and linen, soap and towels, overhead fan, mosquito nets and a wooden viewing deck. In addition there are two Guest Houses, as well as four Canvas Tents for those that prefer a more rustic camping experience.

Marc's Treehouse Lodge has a swimming pool, a bush bar and a Boma where 3-course meals are served. After your evening meal, which always has a traditional African flavour, you can relax around the crackling fire and share your stories of the day's highlights and wildlife adventures.

We collect you from your hostel or Johannesburg Airport, and travel via Dullstroom or Nelspruit to Marc’s Camp. There you transfer to an open Game Viewer for a Sunset Drive. After dark, spotlights are used to locate nocturnal animals. Your accommodation comprises of en-suite chalets. All the chalets are supplied with bedding, soap and towels, mosquito nets and fans. There is a swimming pool and the whole camp is floodlit at night. Dinner in the open-air Boma is enhanced by the calls of hyenas, jackals and bush babies.

After breakfast you travel on the open-sided Game Viewer to the Orpen Gate of Kruger. The added elevation and absence of windows allows for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. Your qualified guide will show you various animals, large and small, that frequent this outstanding wildlife paradise. The zone of Kruger you visit has the highest percentage population of giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and impala that attract numerous lions and other predators. Dinner and overnight at Marc’s Camp.

We have an early morning Bush Walk accompanied by an armed ranger. You will be shown various interesting details of the bush, including insects, spoor and scats. You have an excellent chance of encountering buffalo, nyala and other game on foot. After breakfast, we drive to the Three Rondavels and the Blyde River Canyon. We return you to your hotel or airport at around 17h00.

Marc's Adventure Camp

Built in a separate area of Marc's Camp, the Adventure Camp comprises of 8 en-suite Chalets. A large covered entertainment area includes a TV room, a lounge and a dining room. A swimming pool and open Boma are centrally located within the circle of Chalets. The Chalets are spacious, fully tiled, and are supplied with beds, linen, soap, towels and overhead fans. Animals like Buffalo and Rhino walk freely through the camp, adding a sense of adventure to the entire experience. Safaris staying at Marc's Adventure Camp are extremely well priced, and offer good value accommodation when compared to other budget safaris offering small tents.
