Shark Trips – False Bay (Peak Season – 01 June to 15 August 2011)
The best shark diving and viewing trips on offer in South Africa. All trips depart from Simon’s Town.
The morning trip departs at 7am and returns at 12.30pm weather permitting. This is the trip we recommend for all round behavior. The focus is to see natural predation, breaching as well as being able to cage dive all in one trip. R2,400.00 per person. The afternoon trip departs at 1pm and returns at 5pm weather permitting. This is a trip where the likelyhood to see breaching is 70% and cage diving is good. R1,500.00 per person.
The cage is attached to the boat. No experience required as cage diving is on snorkel. The crew are level three first aid trained and scuba certified. Trips include all dive gear, light lunch, snacks, fruit and refreshments.
Shark Trips – Gansbaai (Mid September to March)
For the best chance of seeing great white sharks in mid September to March, book the shark dive in Gansbaai, which is 2.5 hours from Cape Town. Please note that this area focuses on cage diving and guests will not see breaching. Priced the same as above.
